EXTERIOR PANELS / TRIM  REAR SPOILER  INSTALLATION  


PROCEDURE

Hide 76871 1.INSTALL REAR SPOILER

HINT:

When installing the rear spoiler, heat the vehicle body and rear spoiler using a heat light.


Standard:
Item Temperature
Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
Rear Spoiler 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)


NOTICE:

Do not heat the vehicle body or rear spoiler excessively.


a.

Clean the vehicle body surface.

i.

Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.


ii.

Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.


iii.

Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.



b.

Install a new rear spoiler.

i.

Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body and a new rear spoiler.


ii.

Remove the peeling paper from the face of the rear spoiler.

HINT:

After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.



iii.

Attach the 5 clips so as to apply the double-sided tape and install the rear spoiler.

HINT:

Press the rear spoiler firmly to install it.



iv.

Install the 4 nuts.


v.

Attach the clamp and connect the connector.



Hide 64886B 2.INSTALL BACK DOOR GLASS CHANNEL LH

HINT:

When installing the back door glass channel, heat the vehicle body using a heat light.


Standard:
Item Temperature
Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)


NOTICE:

Do not heat the vehicle body excessively.


a.

Clean the vehicle body surface.

i.

Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body surface.


ii.

Remove the double-sided tape from the vehicle body.


iii.

Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.



b.

Install a new back door glass channel LH.

i.

Using a heat light, heat the vehicle body.


ii.

Remove the peeling paper from the face of the back door glass channel LH.

HINT:

After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.



iii.

Install the back door glass channel LH.

HINT:

Press the back door glass channel LH firmly to install it.
